Clifton “Cliff” L. Bryant, age 73, passed away on Saturday May 19, 2012. Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betsey” Loomis Bryant. Son of the late Norman and Loween Schilling Bryant. Brother-in-law of David F. Loomis, Jr. (Judy), Paul H. Loomis (Trish). Cliff retired from Ingram Industries in 2011 after 50 plus years of working on the Mississippi River and her tributaries. With his silver bushy mustache and long silver wavy hair, a shot of rum and a smoking pipe, Cliff would tell his stories of “Taming the Wild Rivers” to any willing ear. People would often refer to him as a liking of Mark Twain and he always took that as quit a complement. Special thanks to Michelle from Ochsner Infusion Center and Ginger of Hospice Compassus for their professionalism and compassion and to John Holland and Vivian Guarisco for their support, love and friendship. Friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie on Thursday July 12, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Visitation from 6:00 p.m. until time of service.
