Cheryl Lynn Jefferson Haley

After a battle with cancer Cheryl Lynn Jefferson Haley age 52 passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016. She was a New Orleans native and never had any urge to leave. She resided in Metairie, LA where she was a licensed beautician for 26 years. Cheryl is survived by her father, Lloyd J. Jefferson, Jr and was preceded in death by her mother, Anita Boutwell Jefferson. She was the beloved mother of John and Jacob, her two sons who she loved with all her heart. Also survived by her sister, Jill Jefferson Piazza; her brother Lloyd Jefferson III; her partner, Loyd Knotts; two nieces, Victoria and Hope and three nephews, Paul, Michael and Joshua. She left behind her new friend, Eugenie Legnon and many other friends. Anybody that met Cheryl will never forget her. Cheryl always liked to dance, enjoy family gatherings and travel when she could. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 beginning at 10:30 AM with a funeral service to follow at 1:30 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
