Beverly Ann Songy

Bel was an artist, seamstress, clogger, champion speller, but most of all a kind, loving woman, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. There was no better Ma-ma. She was a joyful soul who laughed easily and often and delighted in music, food, art, and all things related to New Orleans.

She is preceded in death by her parents Herbert Joseph Songy and Audrey Hemenway Songy, her brothers Herbert ‘Herb’ Songy Jr, Matthew Songy, Robert ‘Rob’ Songy, Gerald ‘Jerry’ Songy, and her grandson Noah Matthew Daigle.

Beverly is survived by her children Glen Daigle (Connie), Ken Daigle (JD), Kathleen Daigle (Keith) and Cindy Daigle, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, her sister Doris Stewart and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held February 17, 2024 at 2pm at Leitz Egan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
