Betty Jean Saucier Melito passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, April 26, 2017. She was 80 years old. Beloved wife of the late Charles Anthony Melito Sr. for over 60 years. Loving mother of Charles “Chuck” Melito Jr. (Jill), Cynthia Ann Melito, and Jean Ann Melito Pearce. Loving grandmother of five and great-grandmother of three. Sister of Oliver Donald Saucier (Jimmie Rae). Daughter of the late Vivian and Oliver Saucier. Betty was a native of New Orleans and resident of Jefferson Parish. She devoted her life to loving and caring for her family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend her funeral service at LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Friday afternoon, April 28, 2017 at 1:00. Visitation will begin at 11:00 in the morning. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie.
