Beloved wife of the late Oral Thompson.

Loving mother of Dr. Stephen Thompson (and wife, Lynn) and Roger Thompson (and wife, Carole).

Devoted grandmother of Stephanie Landry (and husband, Brett), Chris Thompson (and wife, Kelley), William Thompson, Amanda Anstett (and husband, Damien), Adam and Gregory Thompson.

Proud great-grandmother of Celeste and Whitley Landry and Jaxon Anstett.

Sister of the late Oral Whitley and Helen Jones.

Daughter of the late Clara McKamey and Harvey Whitley.

Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of First Christian Church of Greater New Orleans, Park Avenue Christian Church in Montebello, California, Order of the Eastern Star, a retired office manager and will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Veronica Polk for the love and care that she provided.

Aged 97 years, a native of Gosport, Indiana, former resident of Montebello, California and a resident of Kenner, Louisiana for the past 10 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral services at First Christian Church of Greater New Orleans 8121 Airline Dr. Metairie, on Monday afternoon April 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.

Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.

Additional services and interment will be held at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, California.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church of Greater New Orleans 8121 Airline Dr. Metairie, Louisiana 70003.
