Audrey B. Castagnetta

Audrey Mae Boudreaux Castagnetta passed away Friday, October 18, 2013 in Slidell, La. Beloved wife of the late Salvador J. Castagnetta, Sr. for 28 years. She is survived by her children, Mary Catherine D’Amico (late Rosario), Salvador J. Castagnetta, Jr. (Melissa), Junius (Jay) Castagnetta (Heidi), and Martha Westeen (Bob). She was the daughter of the late Claudia Lasseigne Boudreaux Laque and Junius Louis Boudreaux. Sister to the late Adolph (Buddy) Boudreaux and Doris Boudreaux Thomas Walker. Grandmother to Russell Mayeur, III (Stacey), Andrea Williams (Carl), Katie De Salvo (Pete), Abbie Castagnetta, Mia Castagnetta, Izzy Castagnetta, Bubba Allen, Joshua Castagnetta, Joshua Tzuanos, Michael Castagnetta, Tammi Ball (William), Dawn Cucurullo (Guy), Shannon Ball (Chris), and Brandy Lepine (Keith). Great Grandmother to Meghean, Rusty IV, Rylee (late), Noah, Leah, Joseph, Bryan, Cayden, Etta, Sharla, Missy, Tiffany, Sheena, Anthony, Orry, and Saxon. Great Great Grandmother to Jono, Trish, Caleb, and Kiersten.

A native of New Orleans, Audrey was a longtime employee of the Fontainebleau Motor Hotel of New Orleans and the Landmark Best Western in Metairie. She also served as a member and director of the League of St. Jude and served as Captain of the Krewe of Les Papillions Sociaux for 21 years.

Relatives and friends of the family, and members of the Battalion Washington Artillery and its veteran association are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at the Garden of Memories, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, La. on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 8:30 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers send donations in Audrey’s memory to either the Alzheimers Association, Louisiana Chapter or Our Lady of Guadalupe (St. Jude).
