Anita Lindquist Cook

Anita Lindquist Cook left this world on May 27, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Karl Lindquist and Anita Christ Lindquist, and her infant daughter Catherine Cook. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to Norman Cook Jr. Loving mother of Deborah Guidry (Tommy) and Donna Masters (Parrish). Grandmother of Christopher and Brittany Guidry and Cody, Kaitlyn, and Parrish Masters Jr. Great-grandmother of Jase Guidry. Sister of Bertand Lindquist (Maryann), Carole Overman (Wayne), Gerard Lindquist (Peggy), and Margaret Lindquist. Relatives and friends of the family, as well as former employees of Jefferson Bank and Trust and Gulf Federal Savings Bank, current and former employees of the Metairie Branch of the U.S. Postal Service, the New Orleans Winnie’s Camping Group, and The Monday Night Disciples are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from ST. ANN CHURCH AND SHRINE, 3601 Transcontinental Drive, Metairie, on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will begin in church at 10:00 in the morning. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the American Cancer Society are preferred.
