Andrew Vincent Restivo, 87, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on November 11, 2016. Andrew was born in New Orleans and lived his entire life in New Orleans and Metairie. He graduated from Jesuit High School in NOLA and SLI (USL) in Lafayette. He served in the US Army during the Korean War before working 42 years at the US Department of Agriculture National Finance Center. Andrew was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of the Jefferson Ward. He devoted his life to his family and helping others through his Church service. Andrew is preceded in death by his parents Andrew John Restivo and Irene Lanza Restivo. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alice Sandefur Restivo; his son Andrew Vincent Restivo II; grandchildren Andrew V. Restivo III, Ashley V. Restivo, Daniel J. Restivo, and Matthew A. Restivo; great grandchildren Damion Restivo, Jordan Montague, and Nolan Montague. Andrew was a proud Saints and LSU fan and was so happy to live to see the Saints win Super Bowl XLIV (Who Dat) and LSU’s two recent National Championships (Geaux Tigers). He will be lovingly remembered by all that knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm., and a Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 5025 Cleveland Pl., Metairie, Louisiana; with a brief gathering with family and friends at 10:30 am, and the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 am.
