Barbara , I am sorry for your loss and the long term sickness you had to deal with . AJ was my friend for 20 years and 
I'll miss him . I think the hardships affected us all but things will get better as time passes and you will remember all the good times as I will try to do .

Barbara, you are in my thoughts and prayers as are Heather and Judd. I am glad that we got to reconnect albeit under difficult circumstances. I hope that you are able to find some comfort and peace in knowing AJ's suffering is over and that his spirit will always be with you. God bless you and your family.

I've known A.J. my whole life and I sure will miss seeing him and hearing "hello Mr. Phil!". I always enjoyed talking military,
 and planes, and NASA, and models and anything else with 
him. Having him show me his room of collectibles and memorabilia was always enjoyable mo matter how many times I had seen it and he always wanted to show me what was new. I'll miss that. The neighborhood will not be the same without him. Rest in peace old friend.

To a real friend that will always be sadly missed who was there for me very much like a true brother at all of my darkest hours or any of the other times I may have needed someone. Through all of my own personal battles and sicknesses he was eager to do anything and everything he could for me and my family. He made his home my home during Hurricane Katrina and made my home a tolerable place to sleep in by generously giving me one of the two generators he had which to me meant more than if he were giving out gold at the time. I've never known anyone like him and for all his good, I'll never forget him. R.I.P. brother. No more pain! Now that you dance with the saints, don't forget me bro, and tell your Mom, Dad & David I said hello. You and your family will always be looked in on by me, the same way you've looked in on mine.

The old neighborhood won't be the same without A.J. Who would have ever thought that Bellevue Subdivision would ever be without A.J. Hebert watching out for the neighborhood. He was a good person and will be sadly missed by family and friends. I've know A.J. since we were kids and he and I were the best of friends for years until I moved out of the neighborhood, and although we remained friends until his death, we never really got to spend any time together like our early days, but we always spoke and reminised whenever we saw one another. May God bless your soul old friend.

AJ will be missed for sure. I've been knowing him my entire life and my dad grew up with him. An awesome neighbor to have, I could always leave my house/go out of town knowing that he'd be across the street making sure my house was safe. Whenever we needed anything, whether we asked or not he would be the 1st to do or give whatever we needed. Anything you wanted to know about you could ask him, EVEN if he had no clue what he was talking about, he'd sure make you think he did anyway ;)  But that was just AJ plain and simple. People that didn't even know him knew OF him, and the cannon stories and him being the "self-proclaimed sheriff" of Bellevue subdivision!! I consider him and his family part of my extended family and will always remember AJ and his silly and unique ways. He was definitely "one of a kind", and old school at its best. We'll miss hearing "hey mista Jeff or see ya later miss Erika" and we will miss you "Mista AJ"! And of course Barbara, Heather, Juddy, Robert and all those grand kids and family, my heart genuinely goes out to you all!! We will all make sure we carry on his traditions and that's what makes someone truly "live on". You all know I'm right across the street and I will help out or do anything y'all may need in any way, just as he would've for us! Keep your head up and take it one day at a time, that's what he would honestly want y'all to do! Yall are already doing a great job at such a rough time! Love you guys!!!
