Beloved wife of Alvin “Sugar” Pittman Sr. after 69 years of Sacred Marriage.

Loving mother of Darby Buckel (and husband, Edward), Debby Haydel (and husband, Jay) and Alvin “A.J.” Pittman Jr.

Devoted grandmother of Jimmy, Jody, Chris, Sherri, Scott, Blake and Courtney.

Proud great-grandmother of Jayme, Brittany, Abigail, Caitlin, Anna, Haley, Krisalyn, Keira, Cathan, Nathan, Evan and Corban.

Sister of the late Undine Mehle and Jessie St. Pé.

Daughter of the late Jessie Schaneville and Alexander Manix.

Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Pittman was a retired beautician, a member of Parkway Presbyterian Church and will always be loved and remembered by all who knew her.

The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to her care givers, Bertha, Dora and Bea for their love and also to the nurses and staff of Chateau de Notre Dame for the love and care that they provided.

Aged 90 years, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 40 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service from Leitz-Eagan funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, on Friday morning April 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.
