Mr. Albert H. Gieseler Jr.

Albert H. Gieseler, Jr., age 88, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 9, 2011. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA for 50 years. Beloved husband of the late Herma Alice Skinner Gieseler. Father of Albert H. Gieseler, III (wife, Debbie) and Kenneth L. Gieseler. Grandfather of Sarah Ellen Gieseler Sammarco (husband, John), Blake Alain Gieseler, Grant Plirr Gieseler (fiancée, Jenni Mackzum) and Brett Andrew Gieseler. Son of the late Albert H. Gieseler, Sr. and Helena Tobler Gieseler. Brother of Helene Gieseler Preslar (husband, Benton) of Baton Rouge, LA and the late Robert Gieseler (surviving wife, Carol). Mr. Gieseler was a government employee for 42 years, retiring from the U.S. Post Office. He was a WWII Army veteran and a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy, in Metairie, LA on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 beginning at 10:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories.
