Ada "Sissy" Lee Marallo

Ada “Sissy” Lee Marallo, age 89, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 11:40 PM at Canon Hospice. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. Mrs. Marallo was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Regino Marallo; two sons, Reggie and Paul Marallo and one granddaughter, Amanda Marallo Ricks. She is survived by her daughter Peggy Marallo Ricks and son-in-law Ray Ricks; grandchildren, Tanya and Mickey Prejean, Becky Zitzmann Harris, Matthew Stann, Jewell Ricks, Leigh Gradiz and husband José, Kelly Spigner, Reggie Marallo and Paul Marallo. Sister of Lois Zimbler, Irma Maggio, Gerald Lee and the late Bertha Thees, Lillian Fiegel, Robert Lee, Rosemary Lee and Estelle Sherrer. Daughter of the late William and Telsie Lee. Special aunt to Shirley Williamson. Also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Marallo’s greatest quality was her great love and strong devotion to her children. In her younger days, she was known for her wonderful cooking. She loved to feed people. Her doors were always open, she was very generous and never turned anyone away. Mrs. Marallo’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Canon Hospice for their exceptional care and loving compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Wednesday evening, November 13, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM.
