William Howard Tucker

Mr. William Howard Tucker, age 89, of Mesquite, Texas passed away on Wednesday March 6, 2019. William Howard was born November 6, 1929 in Dallas, Texas to parents Judge and Myrtle Tucker. He graduated from Crozier Tech High School and served in the U.S. Army. Throughout his career he worked for various companies including Austin Paving, Chevron, Walmart. He was a handy carpenter who could build just about anything. William loved woodworking and making various projects for his family. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, and soaking up the sun. William was a faithful member of the Quietwood Baptist Church in Dallas. Family and friends said that William never met a stranger and he was a kind hearted man. He will be truly missed by those who loved him most.

William was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 46 years, Barbara Ann Tucker, parents Judge and Myrtle Tucker, and siblings Dorothy Adair, Jimmy Tucker, and Wallace Tucker. He is survived by his loving children Steve Tucker and wife Wanda, Dorothy Elaine Johnson, and husband Bobby, Paula Lynn Davis and husband Danny, Barbara Ann Tucker, William Howard Tucker Jr. and wife Calli, and Tamantha D'Anne Tucker; grandchildren Steven Howard Tucker Jr., Shawn Lee Johnson, Robert Allen Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Daniel Scott Tucker, Jonathan Hank Davis, William Howard Tucker III, Rubi Ann Tucker, Kati Lynette Tucker, Samantha D'Anne Mitchell, and Amanda Lynette Mitchell, numerous great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

A visitation for William Howard will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, TX 75149. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, TX 75149. A burial will occur Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 2:30 PM at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. Brother Johnny Johnson will be officiating.
