William Albert McClure, age 85, entered into heaven on October 18, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on December 4, 1935 in Dallas, Texas, to Chester and Ruby McClure. Bill was raised in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1953.
Bill married his high school sweetheart, Glynanne Bruton, in 1956 and they were married 60 years. Together they had four children. Bill was a salesman at heart and spent his entire career in the paint and floor covering business.
He was an athlete and enjoyed playing softball, basketball, bowling, and other team sports.
Bill’s hobbies were hunting and fishing with his family and friends. If you knew him, you know he always had a hunting or fishing story. He loved telling stories to family and friends or really anyone that would listen.
He will always be remembered as a very generous man! He would literally give anyone the shirt off his back. He was witty and funny and had a heart for those hurting and in need. Together with his wife Glynanne, they built a strong legacy, one with Jesus as the center of the family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Glynanne McClure; daughter, Lyndy Michele McClure; and parents, Chester and Ruby McClure.
Bill is survived by his children: Chrysty and Ray Sturdivant, Cherry Brady, Randy and Kristen McClure; his eight grandchildren, Casey and Stacy Graves, Colby and Jessica Graves, Courtney and Dwayne King, Christopher Brady, Chelsea Brady, Sheriden and Lane Carter, Katie McClure, and Parker McClure. Together Bill and Glynanne have sixteen great grandchildren; Blain, Faith, Gracie, Adyson, Rylynn, Colsen, Callie, Caleb, Alice, Everly, Molly Kate, Michaela, Leena, Madelyn, Kinley, Jackson.
