Wesley Calvin Dunn

Wesley Calvin (John) Dunn, age 64, of Kaufman, Texas, passed away on Monday February 21, 2022. Wesley was born January 16, 1958, in Dallas, Texas to Randall and Velma Dunn. He was preceded in death by his father, Randall Dunn, his mother, Velma Dunn, and brother Malkus Dunn. He is survived by his wife Teresa of 45 years, daughter and son in law, Lee and Amanda Kelsoe, and three grandchildren, Austin, Chloe, and Travis. Wesley was born in Dallas, and he graduated from Spruce/Skyline High School. Wesley and Teresa were childhood friends and neighbors and married on May 15, 1976, and spent almost 46 blissful years together. He was a diesel mechanic and HVAC technician by trade and spent many years in facility management. He had a passion for adventure and a love of music. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, flying the plane he built, driving race cars, and traveling cross country on his Harley, including Mexico and Belize. While in Belize he discovered a passion for sailing. After which he and Teresa spent the past several years preparing to sail the Caribbean in their retirement years. He was known for his crazy stories and the direct manner that he approached life. He was always willing to lend a hand and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A visitation for Wesley will be held Monday, February 28, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, Texas 75149. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, Texas 75149. A committal service will occur Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Laurel Oaks Cemetery, 12649 Lake June Rd., Balch Springs, TX 75180.
