Tammy Lynn Slaughter

Tammy Lynn Slaughter, 56 left this earthly home on July 1, 2021 in Forney, Tx. She was born June 8,1965 in Greer, South Carolina to Pat and Charlie Ford. Tammy was raised in Plano, Tx and attended and graduated from Farmersville High School. She married the love of her life John Slaughter II in 1992 and the couple had 29 wonderful years together raising 2 beautiful children. She worked in a bingo hall and as PA for more than 20 years. Tammy enjoyed playing bingo, going to the beach, but her favorite thing was time spent with her children and grandchildren. She always put others above her own needs, her home was always open to the children of her friends, and she loved to celebrate when it was a time of celebration. Her family will keep fond memories of Tammy and how kind hearted, happy, loving and overall just a great woman she was.

Tammy is preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas and Isa Lawlis; sister, Darlene Ford; and mother-in-law Bobbie Gardner.

She is survived by her devoted husband, John Slaughter III; mother, Pat Ford; father Charlie Ford and wife Cindy; children, Latosha McBride and John Slaughter IV; grandchildren, Kristopher Slaughter, Kolton Slaughter, and Kylei McBride; siblings, Karen Addington, Chuck Ford and wife Amanda, Kiesha Cain and husband Billy; sister-in-laws Linda Lee and Cathy Ross; five nephews and five nieces.

Tammy will be missed dearly
