She was born on January 17, 1955 in Athens, TX to John T. and Jeline Perkins.
Susan was preceded in death by her husband Jerry L. Ellis and father John T. Perkins.
She is survived by her mother Jeline Perkins, children, Amy Croom and husband James, Jennifer Fields and husband Chris, grandchildren Halie Bever and husband Bobby, Tyler Croom, Alexis Fields and boyfriend Tyler Feenstra, Hunter Croom and Aaron Fields, great-grandchildren Emersyn, Whittyn and Zane Bever, sisters Terri Dutton and husband Gary, Lisa Sartain, and brother Johnny Perkins. She also has numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Susan loved to shop, travel and the Dallas Mavericks.
A celebration of life for Susan will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at Anderson Clayton Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, Texas 75149.
