Steve Michael McNeil Sr.

Steve Michael McNeil. Age 70, passed away on June 16, 2021 in Mesquite, Texas. He was born on January 31, 1951 in Dallas, Texas to his parents, Charles and Dorothy McNeil. Steve was raised in Dallas, Texas where he attended Samuel High School in 1969. He was a proud member of the IBEW Union for 50 years.

Steve married Margaret McNeil in 2012. He had two children, Steve McNeil, Jr. and John McNeil, as well as a stepson, Evan Park. He had a successful career as an Electrician for the City of Dallas where he worked for more than 20 years.

In his spare time, Steve was happiest working at his son’s farm, playing with Yella dog, traveling to Galveston, going to auctions, and listening to Full Quiver sing. He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed anything related to history, John Wayne, or the Civil War.

His family and friends will always remember him as a collector of “junk”, an extremely generous man and going out burning rubber!

Steve is preceded in death by his father, Charles McNeil; mother. Dorothy McNeil; son, Steve McNeil, Jr.; brother, David McNeil; and sister, Rita Stroud.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret McNeil; son, John McNeil and his wife, Tracy; stepson, Evan Park; sister, Darlyn Chennault; and many nieces and nephews.
