Sharon Lee Stanglin

Sharon L. Stanglin, age 81, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025 in Kemp, TX. She was born November 16, 1943 in Staten Island, NY to Norman Thomaschefsky and Natalie Davis. Sharon was raised in Albuquerque, NM later moving to Elk City, OK and then Two Rivers, WI. She graduated from Elk City High School, OK in 1961 then ended up in Mesquite, TX before finally moving to Peeltown, TX. We know her home as Two Rivers, WI where her family ran the Port Sandy Bay restaurant serving the best pizza in the world. Sharon married Marvin O. Burross in 1961 and was married to him for 21 years, but he has since passed away . They had 3 children Robert, Deborah, and Jennifer. Sharon then married Bobby J. Stanglin August 14, 1992. All together Sharon and Bobby have 7 kids, Joanna, Christy, Suzanne and Deanna. She was a school bus driver for Mesquite ISD for 30 years then retired from Mesquite and was a school bus trainer for Kaufman for 5 years. In her spare time she loved to crochet afghans, camping and hanging out with the Red Hatters, and reading Danielle Steele books. Her family and friends will always remember her being the life of the party and loud, a very caring and loving woman. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Father and Sister.

A visitation for Sharon will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 MILITARY PKWY, MESQUITE, TX 75149. A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1111 MILITARY PKWY, MESQUITE, TX 75149. A committal service will occur Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Mesquite City Cemetery, 400 Holley Park Dr, Mesquite, TX 75149.
