Mr. Roy Willis, Jr. was born on December 12, 1941 in Fairfield, Texas to the parentage of Roy Willis, Sr. and Lillie Bell Willis. He received his formal education in Fairfield, Texas, attending Dogan High School. He later enlisted in the military forces, serving in the Army and maintained a position as a Green Beret in the special forces. Roy was employed by A & M Delivery Services for 15 years where he retired but resumed employment by operating his own tire services. He gently fell asleep on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at Veterans Hospital Dallas. Preceding him in death are parents Roy and Lillie Bell Willis, brother W.B. Willis, sisters Naomi Beck, Lois Gillespie, Judy Willis, Mildred Williams and son Leon Monroe. He leaves to cherish his memories: Brothers Nelson Willis & Ruby, Clifton Willis & Ester and Thea Willis & Ebony of Dallas, Texas; sisters Lorisa Coleman of Dallas, Texas and Mable Yarbrough of Fairfield, Texas; grandson TreyLeon of Dallas, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
