Patricia Ann McCurdy

Patricia was born on the October 13, 1943 in Dallas, Texas to James Edward Wheat and Fannie Lee Wheat, who precede her in death. She was the co-owner and bookkeeper of McCurdy plumbing, alongside her husband of 42 years. In her younger years, Patricia loved to make her children’s clothes. Closer to home she could be found playing records, singing and dancing with her children. She loved fishing, Bingo, and gambling. She adored her large family - spending time with her children and grandchildren warmed her heart. Her laughter and smiling eyes lit up the room. Patricia will be remembered by her family and friends as a gentle, caring, loyal woman who cared unconditionally, gave without question, and held honesty in high regard. She is preceded in death by her husband William Fox Wheat and brother John Edward Wheat. Patricia is survived by her daughters Connie Johnson Maples and spouse Penny Darlene, Robin Michelle Johnson, and Brandy Denise McCurdy; sons Martin Lewis Johnson II and wife Lisa Marie, Shane Edward McCurdy, Yancy Dean McCurdy and wife Christine; stepson William Patrick McCurdy; brothers Jimmy Wheat and Bruce Wheat and wife Rhonda; sister Nancy Huckabee; Grandchildren Bart, Chad, Chase, Jessica, Jacob, Alexis, Angelica, Kristen, Logan, Cameron, and Brittany; great grandchildren Jaidyn, Baylee, and Wyatt; numerous nephews, nieces, and a host of other family and friends.
