Obie Glenn Senn, loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle, was born on February 12, 1949, to Nub and Attilaye Senn in Pittsburg, Texas. He walked to school, uphill, both ways in Daingerfield, Texas until moving to Dallas in the early 1960s. He graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1967 and was a proud member of its reunion planning committee.
As a rather high-spirited athlete, Glenn played baseball in high school and for his church. He also played for a short time at Dallas Baptist University. He later developed a love for golf, which he played as often as his work, good weather and family obligations would allow. On bad back or bad weather days, Glenn enjoyed playing poker. He was hard to beat, and he knew it!
By trade, Glenn was a home builder and despite the toll it took on his back, he did not stop building until the summer of 2023. He never owned a truck that wasn’t full of tools, textile samples, and enough pens and pencils to supply an elementary school.
Above all, Glenn was a devoted family man. He was happiest when spending time with his wife of 40 years, his 3 daughters and their husbands, and his grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and a heart big enough for them all but could also be relied upon to help others. He was the type who would give the shirt off his back to a complete stranger.
Glenn passed on May 18, 2024, but his memory shines bright among his family members and all of those who loved him.
Glenn is preceded in death by parents Obie and Attilaye Senn, father-in-law Clinton Odom, brother Wayne Senn. sister-in-law Betty Senn, and grandsons Antonio Cervantes Jr., and Nolan Schmidt.
