Lyndell Jean Jarvis

Lyndell Jean Jarvis passed away on Saturday March 18th , 2017 . Mrs. Jarvis was born on April 14 , 1940 in Scurry , TX. to Randall Lanson Duckworth & Kitty Belle Duckworth . She was a graduate of Seagoville High School in 1958 . She was a member of the ladies basketball team who were State runner-up in 1955 . She later went on to earn her Associates Degree from Eastfield College .

She married Joe Jarvis of Rylie, Tx . on June 20th , 1959 . They were married for 57 years until his passing on October 5th , 2016 .

Mrs. Jarvis retired as a Teacher's Aide from Mesquite Schools after 30 years of service working with special needs students .

She was past president of Mcwhorter Elementary PTA and Agnew Middle School PTA . She was awarded a Life Membership in 1978 by the State of Texas PTA .

She was also a Den Mother in Cub Scouts Pack 851 for 8 years .

Mrs. Jarvis was a devoted member of Edgemont Park Baptist Church for 46 years where she served in many roles . Sunday school teacher , choir member and the homemakers class .

She is survived by her sons Joe Allen and Jerry and their wives Carla and Sonya .

Three Grandchildren , Andrew , Andrea and Sarah .

Two step Grandchildren Amanda Euler & Wesley Hammons .

Four Great Grandchildren , Asa , Tessa , Kamryn and Kadyn .

Her brother George Duckworth and sister Laverne Tucker .

Also many , many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews .

She was preceded in death by her Father & Mother

Her sisters Margie Lunsford & Avis Kay Williamson .

Her brothers Randall Duckworth , Mickey Duckworth and Buddy Duckworth .

Lyndell became a Christian on August 2nd , 1953 and lived her faith for 64 years until her passing . She has joined the love of her life in the dear hereafter who was waiting just beyond the shore . They were inseparable in life and are now reunited .
