Linda Strickland was a dedicated mother, grandmother, who loved her family and the families and children that she cared for over the years. She loved her church and will be remembered for always having candy or gum to pass out. She loved horses and would reminisce about the horses of her youth and enjoyed reading her son-in-laws western horseman magazines, She was committed to her Bible reading time in the morning and meeting people at the store or park and inviting them to her church. In these last years she enjoyed feeding the Ducks at City Lake park and watching the people pass by. She is remembered as an adoring mother and Nanny to her family. Linda provided professional child care over the years to many families that grew to love her like their own grandparent, She also worked in the nursery at First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas during Sunday worship services some years ago, prior to that she was a church secretary at Hillview Terrace Assembly of God and also worked at Western Electric for a short time. But the job she loved most was being a Mama and Nanny.
