Kate Kesler

Kate Kesler, 88, left this earthly home on January 8, 2022 from Mesquite, TX. She was born November 18, 1933 in Cooper, TX to Willard and Maurine Jetter Cotton. Kate was raised and attended school in Cooper graduating in 1952. She married the love of her life Delmar Glendal “DG” Kesler in 1953 and they had two wonderful sons together. Kate was an Executive Administrative Assistant for more than 30 years at Western Electric/Lucent Technologies.

In her free time Kate enjoyed spending time with her sons, watching her grandchildren in their various sports, going to church, visiting with her friends at the Waffle House and the Senior Center.

Kate’s family and friends will always remember her as fierce defender of her family, a loving mother and grandma, and the love and adoration she had for husband who affectionately called her “Red” for her beautiful red hair.

She is preceded in death by, parents, Willard Cotton and Maurine Cotton; beloved husband, DG Kesler; brother, Jerry Cotton.

Left to cherish Kate’s memory is, sons, Michael Kesler and wife Al’an, Keith Kesler and wife Tonyua; grandchildren, Kyla Cooke and husband Joe, Austin Kesler and wife Salome, Kelsey Kesler, Courtney Kesler, Cody Kesler, Braden Kesler; great-grandchildren, Kaden Kelco, Kara Kelco, Dominic Cooke, Ella Cooke, Vinny Cooke, Kyler Jinkins, and Kinsley Jinkins
