Karon “Katie” Turner, age 67, passed away on April 2, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on February 23, 1951 in Athens, Texas to Joe B. Kitchens and Mary Francis Derden. Karon was raised in Richardson, Texas and graduated from Richardson High School in 1970.
She married Ronnie Gene Turner in 1976 and the couple had three children. She was a bank teller at a multitude of major banks where she worked for 25 years.
In her spare time Karon enjoyed shopping, reading novels, pottery, and vacationing in the country hillsides.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a person who never knew a stranger. She spoke to everyone as if she had known them forever. She was a caring, loving spirit and a peacemaker to all.
She is survived by her husband Ronnie “RT” Turner; her daughters Brandy Kirchenbaur and Stacy Banks; her son Charles “Troy” Kirchenbaur; her mother Mary Francis Derden; her sister Melisa Kitchens; her niece Jordan Kitchens; and thirteen grandchildren.
