Joan Bannister Davis was born on September 9, 1934 in Forney, Texas to Nathan and Pauline Bannister. Joan grew up in Sunnyvale, Forney and Mesquite, where she attended school. It was then she met the love of her life, Horace Davis whom she married in 1953. Joan and Horace lived in the same house in Garland for almost 65 years until Horace’s death in 2017. Joan is known by everyone that knew her for having a wonderful sense of humor and a very special love for her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She will be truly missed by all her family and friends. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Horace, her brother Charles Bannister, and parents. She leaves behind her sister, Sandra Johnson, and husband Jimmy, her daughters, Kathy Fincher, fiancé Jim White, Donna Lumley, husband Mark, granddaughters Brandi Wallace, Blair Apfel and husband Matt, Hanna Welch and partner Bailie Waters, great grandsons, Austin Wallace, and Brody Apfel.
