James Edward Holloway Sr., age 79, passed away on April 11, 2017 in Mesquite, Texas. He was born on January 11, 1938 in Dallas, Texas. He married Leatha Lou St. John in 1962 and the couple had 3 children. He was a police officer for Federal Reserve at The Federal Reserve where he worked for more than 12 years. In his spare time James enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking in stray dogs, and feeding his favorite squirrel. His family and friends will always remember him as a spiritual man, a great husband, father, and friend. He was a true counselor to many and an amazing grandfather to others. He is preceded in death by his parents; Eugene Holloway and Dennie Mae Wilcox. He is survived by his wife; Leatha Holloway; his children; Jerry and wife Trena Holloway, James E. Holloway Jr., David Holloway, Brenda Hammons, and Chris Russo-Holloway. His sister Imogene Bullard; and his grandchildren: Lisa and Bret Shawver, Joel Holloway, Christopher Holloway, Mary Kihara, Crystal, Stephanie, Carla, Brooky, Kason, Brently, Leila, Daisy, Wyatt, Kinsley, Wesley.
