Guillermo Gudino, age 85, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Guillermo was born February 10, 1936. He had three beautiful children, and was married to his wife Maria Gudino for over 40 years. In his spare time he enjoyed being with friends and family. Guillermo never met and stranger and was always willing to help anyway he could. He loved the outdoors, enjoying trips to Colorado every year to get away from the Texas heat. Guillermo was always busy, he couldn’t stand by and be idle. His brother Reuben said he wasn’t happy unless he was driving a nail somewhere. He enjoyed keeping the perfect lawn, watering it everyday and always made sure it was freshly mowed. Guillermo was a steak and potatoes kind of man, and there always had to be bread with EVERY meal. He loved the family get togethers at the lake, and fishing. He always thought food just tasted better outside. Guillermo was also a collector , of scrap metal, wire, aluminum cans, anything he thought that had any value. he loved history and learning new things. Guillermo loved life and most of all his family. Guillermo worked at Friendly Chevrolet for about 18 years, which resulted in him knowing everything about cars. After that he proceeded to go into his own business, he bought himself a dump truck and hauled sand to different residences and places of business. He also purchased rental property where you would find him painting, repairing, or yard cleaning.
His families favorite memories:
Anytime we would go somewhere to eat, or even just eat dinner at home, dad would say “ Here, take a bite off of daddy’s plate, and I would say dad , I’ve got the same exact thing! And he would reply, “Yeah, but it always tastes better off daddy’s plate. “ -- daughter Theresa
“I remember Papaw saying, “Gosh Almighty mi hijo look at you!” and give me kisses with his prickly scruffy face. – grandson Matthew Gudino
“I will always remember he could make money doing anything. He would say “You see that old piece off metal on the side of the road? We can sell that as scrap metal and make money. Always hold on to your money son and save it “ – grandson Corey
“My brother was the best son and brother anyone could have, he was friendly, responsible and a person that loved everybody and everything” – sister Enriqueta
