Affectionately referred to as Mandy, she grew up in Mesquite and graduated from Richland College in 2008. With a servant's heart she worked as an Office Administrator at St. Pius X Early Care Center. In her spare time, Mandy enjoyed getting dolled up to go out, attending church and going out to eat. She also enjoyed listening to music, reading and watching movies. Her family and friends will always remember her as a beautiful person with a passion for caring for others, along with her infectious smile and laugh.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Jose & Marie Diaz, maternal grandmother Ana I Garza, uncles Santiago Rodriguez, Jose L. Diaz, aunt Guadalupe Ramirez, cousin Marina Ramirez.
I have a young daughter; and as you can see
She is teaching her daddy how strong he can be
She dries my eyes when they’re full of tears
With her little smile she removes all my fears.
I love her so madly, I think just too much.
I know I’m the happiest when I feel her touch.
You may think that my daughter is a little too spoiled
But she’s gone through so much, it just makes my blood boil
You see my daughter is a very special child.
If God is so willing I can keep her awhile.
I pray and thank God for so much everyday
That He makes her heart stronger, and better each day.
Its true people say that you’re loved and missed more
Whenever you’re gone and have pass through God’s door
But Amanda has taught me to love her today
‘Cause tomorrow’s surprises could take her away.

“Chances”
Chances are things we take at work, at play, with friends, with loved one and with life. With some chances, you win with others you lose. When we win, we win more money, loyalty of friends and a partner to share your life. But when you have a child with a heart defect, your outlook on taking chances takes a different view. Every time you have to decide, every chance you have to decide, every chance you have to take, it has to be right, you have to win, because if you lose, there will be no other chances. Your doctors rate your child’s life by what chances they can take, what treatment they can do. Every chance has to be a winning chance and when your chances don’t look good, you’ll need a feeling of Hope. Your outlook on life changes, there may be no tomorrow so you just live for today and take a chance that there will be a tomorrow in your child’s life. So your life goes on day after day taking chances and having Hope.
