Thinking of Werner's family on this day of remembrance. He was a great person--consistent, trustworthy, reliable, friendly, helpful--we miss him very much at our kitchen & bath showroom--he cannot be replaced.

I just recently found out about Werner's passing and just wanted to offer my condolences and say how I deeply sorry I am for your family's loss. Werner was our sales rep with Hafele and was one of the few rep's I enjoyed seeing and speaking to on a regular basis. I was one of his few American clients who was also born in Germany and we always shared a special connection. He was such an amazing guy and I will miss him very much. I wish you all the best during this healing process and if there is ever anything I can help with I would be eager and willing to do so.

We are so saddened by the news of Werner's passing.  Werner was always a joy and brought smiles and laughter into every room he entered.  He will be missed by all of us at The SmartBOX Group.   He spoke of his family often with love and admiration.  Our hearts go out to his family and we hope they find comfort and peace. We are all very fortunate to have had the opportunity to know Werner.  He was truly a good man.

Dear Werner, I have just come from the memorial ceremony. As I saw your photo there, I thought the whole thing is not real and you are about to come in. It is simply unbelievable that you have left us. You were one of my favorite cousins. That's what you used to call me. But you were much more like my cousin. I just can't express in words how much I miss you.   I am glad that you found happiness with Jessy and that you were happy with her all these years. I will never forget you and will always remember you as you really were. A generous, cheerful and always helpful person. Rest in peace my favorite cousin.

Words can not express how saddened we are to learn of Werner's passing. We feel very thankful that we got to meet Werner. He was such a kind person with a lovely spirit. We truly enjoyed every visit he made at our office. He always came in with a smile & we will miss his conversations. Whether it was making sure we had everything we needed to discussing the latest formula 1 updates. He wasn't your typical rep, he really cared about the people he worked with. Werner was not only an amazing Rep, he was kind and he cared about the people he worked with.  He was a good friend who lit up the room with his wonderful smile and his positive outlook.  He was not afraid to role up his sleeves to help solve problems and he would do whatever he could to help.  Rest In Peace my good friend.  We will miss you greatly!

When Werner first started calling on us at Affinity Kitchens we weren't used to having a sales representative who called on us as often as Werner did and let's face it, we all think we just don't have the time to hear about a new and improved this or that. But he persisted and learning a thing or two didn't seem as bad as all that especially when we began to think of him as our friend. He not only worked his way into our brain he also worked his way into our hearts. He was a lovely human being and it was a sincere pleasure to have known him. We will miss him terribly.

We are so saddened to hear of Werner's passing. He was by far the best rep we have ever had, diligently visiting our business and becoming our friend over the years.  He could answer questions no one else could, and was always so responsive.  He genuinely wanted to help with whatever we needed, and always did. We will deeply miss him and his visits.

Werner was funny, humorous and kind.  He was one of the gentlest, kindest person I've known.  He always cared about and took care of his friends as much as he can.  Nice to meet you, Werner.   Robert and I will always remember you.

Hello Jessy.  When I heard Werner had passed, my heart skipped a beat.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I worked with him at Hafele since he started and he was always such a joy to talk to.  He was one of the good guys and always made people smile .  If someone was laughing in the office, it was most likely because they had Werner on the phone.  He will be terribly missed.    I send my condolences to you and the family and will keep Werner and you in my prayers.

Als Helmut mich anrief und mir mitteilte, dass du am Vortag verstorben bist, konnte ich es nicht glauben!
Uns Beiden versagte immer wieder die Stimme und die Trauer ist so groß!
Du hast mir heuer noch geschrieben, dass wir uns bald wiedersehen werden - und, sollte es heuer nicht klappen, dann auf jeden Fall im nächsten Jahr! Du hast dich so darauf gefreut - besonders auf nächstes Jahr!
Als du nach Amerika gegangen bist, waren wir alle sehr traurig, haben aber deine Entscheidung verstanden, die gemeinsamen Treffen mit unserer Gruppe, wenn du wieder in deiner alten Heimat warst, haben darüber hinweggetröstet!
Als du uns Jessy vorgestellt hast, haben wir sofort gespürt, du bist mir ihr sehr glücklich und endlich angekommen. Ihr wart so ein lustiges, fröhliches und wertschätzendes Paar!
Werner, wir kannten uns so lange und haben viele gemeinsame Projekte bewältigt, sind gemeinsam auch durch schwere Zeiten gegangen, sind uns gegenseitig beigestanden, haben so viele interessante Gespräche geführt!
Ich möchte dir noch einmal Danke sagen, für all das, was du politisch und wirtschaftlich für Schrems und den Bezirk geleistet hast! Was hast du/habt ihr nicht alles bewegt!

Werner my friend, you were my hang out buddy for the national sales meetings. I will miss you very much and what you have taught me for the time I’ve known you, is to build my own mock ups to fully learn and become a master in my trade. Thank you and god bless you and your family. 🙏

I would say my experience with him was very pleasurable. I worked with Werner and he would call in sales orders to me or ask questions about things. 

Me and him hit it off the first time we talked. He was really one of kind. I am sure that everyone that knew him were devastated when heard the news. It was almost like it wasn’t real. The way he connected with people was authentic and you can tell he really cared about helping his customers. When I would see his name came up on my phone dialer I would immediately say Werrnnnnnerrr and we would start laughing. We joked and laughed and built a good bond when he would call in for his customers. He would even say if someone else got him in the LA office, tell Brett not to get jealous. Lol. I talked to him the Friday before he passed away and got one more good laugh in with him. Still heart broken. But his spirit and his memories live on.

I really do not how to start. Werner and I talked most days, about work, or anything else that came up during the day.  We knew each other for 18 years as we both started in cabinet making and ended our careers in sales. We hang out at the karaoke place and as we where not the greatest we had fun. Werner will be missed forever by me  and my memories  will last forever. As this is not easy to write….. I guess I just miss my friend 

I started off as being a colleague of Werner’s when he started at Hafele and then got the chance to become his boss back in 2019.  I’m grateful for this turn of events because it really allowed me to get to know Werner on a deeper level.  Instead of the occasional phone call we shared, which usually amounted to me tying to tap into the endless woodworking knowledge, or some shortcut on the computer he knew; I got the chance to spend time with Werner, working together with him in the field, riding in his car.  Working with customers is where Werner shined in my eyes, he always greeted everyone like they were a close friend, with a firm handshake and bright smile.  His customers dazzled in his industry and woodworking knowledge, in this regard he was always the brightest in the room and it was fun to see how customers responded.  It was this time together that we shared that I am going to truly miss.  I loved hearing his stories about growing up in Austria and running his woodworking business.  It was evident by the way he spoke to and the way he spoke about his wife Jessy, that he was in love and had a true partner to share his life with.  I’m going to miss his warm greetings, his endless knowledge, his sense of humor, our time spent together and how he ended every call with “okey dokey”.  Werner was truly one of the good ones!  Rest in peace brother!!!

One of the most valuable things that we have is our time.  And this is something we seem to have so little of.  When we spent time with Werner (usually because we were asking for his time), Werner always gave it so graciously.  A joy to be around, we his colleagues and friends appreciated his easy going personality.
Faith is the assured expectations of what is hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities that are not seen.  I have faith that one day not far off in the future, we will see Werner again.  May the God of all comfort bring his family and friends comfort as we remember him in the coming days.

Werner, one of the nicest most respectful individuals you wish for in a coworker and friend.  Always eager to help you with a smile.  His industry knowledge was just the best.  We are all going to miss that funny sense of humor.

Werner was such a blessing to have so close during my first months at Hafele.  He was always there to offer help and inspired me to do better in life.  I will miss his goofy jokes, humble nature and kindness.  He was truly a genuine soul.

You have been such an amazing person to know and work with at Hafele, Werner.  Your smile and humor, knowledge and skill will be memories I will keep.  You will be missed beyond measure.

Werner was a very kind guy who always had time for you.  He was never in a hurry to answer your questions, even if you may have been, lol.  He was smart and intelligent, but a down to earth person who had a funny, dry, sense of humor.  We will miss you Werner!

Werner was a great and important team member.  Smart, always helpful, his industry knowledge that he shared made our jobs easier.  And my favorite thing about him was his sense of humor.  He will be missed greatly!

Werner was a very good, very smart, very honest, very hardworking and very warm-hearted man. He was also very humble, extremely likeable, and he had a great sense of humor.
It hurts to know that he is gone from this earth now, as I so enjoyed and was so very blessed by having him in my life.
I first had the pleasure of meeting Werner as a customer, when he ran the cabinet production operations for Katerra Inc. here in Phoenix in late 2016 and 2017.  I really enjoyed working with Werner as he was sharp, extremely knowledgeable, very professional and he had amazing skill sets.  And his skill sets were huge; as a certified Master of woodworking from Austria, as a business man and a key business manager through his career & life in the Phoenix area, and as a human.  His way with people was amazing.  I admired him so much I hired him to be a salesman for my team and for Hafele America in August of 2017. 
 He was truly one of the best people I ever hired over my 23 years as a sales manager and director at Hafele.  His impact and contributions were notable and significant, and he quickly became recognized as a winner, a leader, and a wise and trustworthy teammate.  Everyone at our company that Werner worked with, really liked and enjoyed him on a personal level, and respected and appreciated what he shared with them on a business level. 
May God bless and receive his soul, and grant him eternal peace and rest. I pray this in Jesus name.


Werner was a friend. He was kind, intelligent and cheerful.  He always greeted me with a big "Hello Gard " and a handshake.  
We spoke of cabinet making,  new items on the market and Austria. He took a great deal of time to give me some insight into how to best enjoy Vienna a few years back before my son and I traveled there. 
I will miss his visits, the smile he always had, the knowledge he shared of industry and life. I will think of him often.
