Virginia E. Carr

Completed her earthly journey on August 1, 2015. She was born on February 5, 1925 in Allentown, PA. Ginna was the daughter of Thomas O. Schrader and Eleanor F. Heffner. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years Leonard W. Carr in 2001. Ginna was a devoted mother to her daughters Donna L. (Roy) Fuerherm and Susan E. Carr. She was a loving grandmother to Melissa S. Dean and Ian J. Paisley and the proud great-grandmother to Ella B. Dean (10). She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn F. Krudewig and was a loving aunt to 2 nieces and 6 nephews. She was a graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in Arts and Science. She lived in Pittsburgh, PA for most of her life until she and Len moved to Gold Canyon, AZ in 1997. She lived a very independent life and was very active in social activities with her many friends at Mountain Brook. She especially enjoyed going to movies, eating out, and playing card games with her friends and family. We would like to acknowledge the loving care given to our mother by the staff at Brookdale in Apache Junction. We also appreciate the compassionate care given to her and her family by Quality Care Hospice. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the charity of your choice or Gold Canyon United Methodist Church.
