Vicki Maxine Dubos

September 27, 1944 – September 10, 2020

Vicki Maxine Striplin Dubos, resident of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Fremont, California, passed away on September 10, 2020 at home at the age of 75 years. Born to USAF Captain Mack Striplin and Ruby Pauline Lewis in Clovis, New Mexico in September 27, 1944. Growing up in a military family she had the opportunity to live all over including New Mexico, Texas, Massachusetts, California, Guam and England. She was married in 1976 and had two sons she raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before getting married Vicki owned and operated a beauty solon in Placerville, California. After the birth of her boys she returned to work this time in public schools assisting in the educational development of students with learning disabilities 10 years with Fremont Unified School District in California and 15 years with Gilbert Unified School District in Arizona. Vicki enjoyed many hobbies in her life including quilting, traveling, genealogy and her pets.

Over her life she was a member of several clubs and social groups including, Independent Order Oddfellows, VFW, Boy Scouts of America, Phoenix Bulldog Club and various rolls with her church.

She is preceded in death by her parents Mack Striplin(1972), Ruby Pauline Striplin(2011) and her brother Warren Allen Striplin(2017). She leaves behind two sons Warren Mack Dubos of Phoenix, Arizona and Robert Edward Allen Dubos of Tilamook, Oregon. Also, a sister-in-law Linda Striplin of Gilbert, Arizona a granddaughter Kaylee Shay Thompson of Ft. Meade, Maryland and countless of cousins and friends across the country.

Vicki lived a simple life, her most treasured processions where those of cards, keepsakes and photos of her family and friends over the years. She leaves behind a great void in the foundation of the lives of her family that she loved so greatly, but her memory and spirit will continue on with them.

Her family will bring her remains back to Fremont, California to rest with her parents when it is safe to travel again.
