Verna Yvonne Jensen, 78, of Mesa, Arizona passed away, March 13, 2016. She was born June 23, 1937 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Marlowe and Lucille Ryan. Verna enjoyed shopping, making flower basket arrangements, working with ceramics and any other craft in general. Verna had various jobs throughout her lifetime but what brought her most joy was taking care of her family. In her later years, she worked part-time in the office at Victory Lutheran Church in Mesa, Arizona for 8 years. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years this June; son Mark (Dawn) Jensen; daughter Michelle (Tina) Calvert; granddaughters Stephanie and Ashley Jensen; her sister Betty Ultsch; her nephew Greg Kopulos and niece Stephanie Schultz and family.
