Terry Maxwell was born to the late Inez Murray (Maxwell) and the late Jesse Toliver in Philadelphia, PA on June 23, 1944. His stepfather, the late James Murray played a significant role in his upbringing. He was educated in the Philadelphia Public School system. He joined the U.S. Army after leaving high school. He served abroad and attained the rank of Corporal E-4. After an honorable discharge, Terry began to pursue his entrepreneurial interests.
His pursuits brought him to Mesa, Arizona to establish Ergonomic Products.
With twinkling eyes and a brilliant smile, Terry lit up the room with his presence. He appreciated his blessings and acknowledged the higher power that kept him along the way. He enjoyed his later years in the company of his family, close friends and neighbors who came to love him.
Terry brought light and love to his world for 79 years. His flame was quietly extinguished on August 31, 2023 while under comfort care following a stroke in Mesa, Arizona.
Terry was predeceased by his sister, Joan Rudd and brother, Barry Maxwell. Terry’s memory will continue to be celebrated by his daughter Donna Robinson(Hall)two grandsons, Richard Hall, Aaron Hall, sister, Evelyn (Armond) Dabney , brother, Vincent (Jill) Murray , sister, Rachelle Murray Richards. A special cousin near and dear to him, Karen Lucas. Nieces and nephews, his significant other, Diane Thomas. His close friend and confidant, George Cawthon and a host of relatives and friends. Terry will be greatly missed and always will be remembered and celebrated by the people he loved.
A committal service for Terry will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85024.
