Susan J Reavis

Susan J. Reavis passed away May 5, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona. Born to Leslie and Beth Johnson, Susan arrived December 12, 1948 in Estherville, Iowa. She was the only girl of three children. In 1971, she graduated from Central Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. While t Warrensburg, she met Bill Reavis whom she married on May 27, 1972. After moving to Arizona, Susan earned her Masters Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University. As an art educator, she most recently taught Jewelry and Art at Skyline High School and Brimhall Junior High in Mesa, AZ. She was dearly loved by all of her students and her classes were always full. Sue was best known for her love of Horticulture. She attended Desert Botanical Summer School to enrich her hobby. Her yard and gardening was her pride. When not working in the yard, she loved being on water and enjoyed boating with her husband Bill on Lake Powell or Lake Havasu. Sue will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband Bill; her brother Greg Johnson and his wife Melissa as well as many friends all over Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma. Donations may be made in Sue’s name to Susan G.
