Stephanie Menard, born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 16, 1956, passed away on April 6, 2015 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 58. Stephanie was a dual resident of both Arizona and northern Idaho. She loved all kinds of animals, especially watching the deer at her summer home in Hope, Idaho, which is ironic, considering her husband is an avid hunter. Stephanie loved to cook and was a very talented artist, painting with water colors and sculpting. She will always be remembered for her custom clay people, along with Christmas cards for Southwest and America West Airlines. Working for Southwest Airlines as a ticket agent, she opened the first city outside of Texas: New Orleans, later becoming the first Female Operations agent. Stephanie was a business owner and the S in K & S Aviation, a Boeing 737 Type Rating school and world wide air transport delivery business. But most importantly, Stephanie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her father, Robert Winters and is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Kirk Menard; son Brandon (Melissa) Menard; her mother Betty Winters; her sister Susan (Jay) Harney as well as her nieces, Kristin (Kevin) Tschirn and Megan (Matt) LaBruyere.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Rd, Mesa, AZ 85206. Arrangements entrusted to Mariposa Gardens (480) 830-4422.
