Sandy was a force to be reckoned with to say the least, she was a hard worker and expected the same from others. Born in Middletown New York, she made her way west and settled in Mesa, Arizona in the
early 60's. Her passion and zest for life was admirable. Sandy loved to travel and experience new adventures whether it was setting sail on a cruise with friends and her husband Norman, buckling up on a roller coaster ride with her grand kids, or traveling to watch her youngest son race RC cars. She did it all and never let her age or other ailments hold her back. Sandy was lucky to have 5 children a dozen grandchildren, and was blessed with half a dozen great grandchildren.
Her last hours were spent at home surrounded by her family. She passed peacefully knowing how very much she was loved.
Sandy is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years Norman Alphonse Understiller. She will be laid to rest on January 15" 2021 at the Mesa. Cemetery.
