Sandra Sue Davis, 73, passed away October 18, 2023 in Queen Creek, AZ surrounded by her family. The family has chosen to have her memorial service at a later date. Sue was born March 11, 1950, in Denver, CO to Carl and Margaret (Thompson) Fetters. She was the youngest of three siblings. She was captain of the cheerleading team and graduated from Merritt Hutton High School (Thornton) in 1968. Sue married her soulmate Tom Davis in May 1985. She and Tom resided in Colorado Springs, CO until 1992 after which they relocated to Torrington, WY to live the country life. Tom and Sue moved to Mesa, Arizona in 2016. She entered an assisted living facility in 2022 after complications from a stroke.
Sue loved watching her grandkids grow up, following her grandkids’ activities, watching football and baseball, rescuing animals, cooking, family dinners, playing bridge, watching old westerns, and listening to Toby Keith.
Sue is survived by two children: Christy Zigweid and her husband Richard of Evanston, WY and Jennifer Halsey and her husband Ken of Casa Grande, AZ.; six grandchildren: Thomas Prickett-Davis and his fiancé Simone, Ryan Anderson and his wife Shaylen, Oren Anderson, and William Zarling all of Arizona, and Whitney and Zachary Zigweid of Wyoming; two great grandchildren: Bryleigh and Brooks Anderson of Arizona; and Rick Zarling of Arizona. She is also survived by two brothers: Ken Fetters and his wife Lisa of Arizona, and Carl Fetters and his wife Susan of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Davis and her parents.
