Our beloved Wife and Mother, Sally Wasson, passed away peacefully at her home on May 21, 2024 at the age of 87. She is survived by her husband, Sam, 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 1, 1937 where she first developed her love of the Chicago Cubs. She moved to Denver Colorado in 1953. She graduated from Englewood High School and attended University of Colorado. This is where she reconnected with a friend from high school and they began dating and married soon after, enjoying 68 years of marriage.
Known for her kind heart, generous personality and beautiful smile, Sally will be missed by many. She was past President of the Dobson Ranch Retirees and remained an active member of the Governor George W. P. Hunt Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution until her passing. She made many friends along her journey, many of which she remained in contact with. Sally was a gifted painter and loved to travel. But her biggest joy was her family. She loved talking and bragging about them and their adventures.
She is survived by her husband Sam, her children Sheryl Rouillard (John), Michael Wasson and Nancy Guerrero (Edward), her grandchildren Jason Kracht (Alicia), Stefani Kracht, Jay Guerrero (Kendra), Matthew Guerrero and Danny Guerrero (Angela), 6 great grandchildren, Alexis Lambing (Nolan), Brandon, Everett, Eisley, Ender and Eryx and one great great granddaughter Marlee.
Services will be held Tuesday June 11, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S Dobson Rd.,Mesa, Arizona 85202.
