Ruth L. Frick, 90, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away in her home on November 26, 2013. She was born in Fargo, North Dakota on September 25, 1923 to Melvin and Frieda Raie (Quiggle) Severson. Ruth graduated from Central High School in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She married Carl E. Frick on February 17, 1948. Ruth worked as a secretary for Trane in La Crosse, Wisconsin and as a part time assistant at La Crosse State University in the physical therapy department. Carl worked as a game warden for many years. Ruth and her husband were members of The First Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Crosse, Wisconsin, The VFW and The American Legion. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, walking and cooking. She is survived by her sister, Marie Sloan of La Crosse, Wisconsin; her children, Alan C. (Penny) Frick of Henderson, Nevada, Bruce R. Frick of Mesa, Arizona, and Pamela R. Frick of Mesa, Arizona; her grandchildren, Michelle Greer, Tiffany Frick and Cory Frick; and her great-grandchildren, Selena Casey, Chloe Greer and JoAnn Greer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Frick and her grandson, Bryan Frick. Arrangements are entrusted to Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses.
