At 90 years young Ruby, or “Polly” to her friends, has been a resident of Mesa, AZ since 1994. She is survived by her daughter Vicki Maxine Dubos also of Mesa, AZ and son Warren Alan Striplin of Queen Creek, AZ. Polly was also the proud grandmother to three boys, Warren Mack Dubos of Mesa, AZ, Jeffrey Alan Striplin of Phoenix, AZ, Robert Edward Dubos of Asheville, North Carolina. Polly also has a great granddaughter in Mesa, AZ, Kaylee Shea Thompson.
Polly was born in Vaughn, NM and raised in Clovis, NM where she met and married her husband of thirty years, Mack Striplin, who was on active duty in the United States Army Air Corps. Throughout the most of their life together she traveled the world as an Air Force wife with Mack. She has also served as a Red Cross volunteer. For many years Polly also worked for Fairchild Semiconductor in the San Francisco Bay area. After retiring from Fairchild she served as a Veterans Service Officer working for the Veterans Administration. Finally retiring to Mesa, AZ in 1994 she became a full time resident here in the valley of the sun.
