Grandpa, you were a truly amazing man and I loved getting to know you and about your life. You lived through and experienced things that most of us can only imagine or read about in books. Through it all you found a way to stay strong, stay positive and find the best in things and in people. You worked hard and provided for your family and were a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. I look at everything I have learned from you and all the memories I have with you and those are things I will always keep close to my heart and never forget. I can truly say that I am the man I am today because of you and what I have seen and learned from you. You are a huge part of my life and who I am. Even when things were tough you always knew how to make us laugh and make people happy. I can't recognize you enough for how great and amazing of a man you were and I will miss you very much and I will always love you.

Grandpa, I miss you already. I miss your laugh that would make anyone around you smile. I am saddened to think of the world without you in it. I feel selfish that my children will not get to know what an amazing man you were for themselves, only from my memories and the memories of our family. I know you are with grandma now, which gives me comfort but I can't help but feel you still left us before it was truly your time. You created a beautiful family, one with love from you all the way down to all of your grand and great grandchildren. That is something to be proud of. I hope I carry on the Kueny name the way you have, and I hope you are looking down on all of us with a warm and proud heart. I love you, Grandpa.

Grandpa was a wonderful man, that I looked up to both as fantastic person and a hard working man. He was always there to help if anyone needed him. I loved to listen to his knowledge and with almost a century of knowledge he was full of stories!!! He lived his life to the fullest, traveled with the love of his life in his early retirement and did so much with his community where he lived all the way until the end. I look up to him for this and he is probably why I always have a smile on my face it was probably inherited from him :) He will be missed but always thought about. He is finally reunited with My Grandma and I am sure is very happy, Love you Grandpa, your Grandson, Arlo

Grandpa was one of a few individuals I have ever known to ALWAYS think of someone else before themselves. Grandpa always made the worst situations seem like everything was ok no matter what the problem was. He was around for every phone call and would just listen if you ever needed to just talk. I will miss your laugh, your smile, your enthusiasm to learn all the new technology, your kind words and even how you say "Yep" all the time on the phone. We are all blessed to have you in our life and to have spent time with you. Thank you for everything!

My dad was an awesome man.  Always quick to smile and told the best jokes and stories.  He always filled my heart with love and happiness.  There are so many memories that I can remember.  I will always remember our fishing trips, learning how to catch and clean the yucky fish.  I'll forever remember him saving me from getting bit by a rattlesnake during one of those trips.  He always made us feel special by taking the time to include some one on one time with him while going to the bank and then to our favorite hamburger place Vals Burgers in Castro Valley. He so patiently taught us how to drive, first by letting us sit next to him and working the stick shift when we were younger, then holy moly teaching me to drive that truck by stopping and starting the truck many, many times going UP our hill.  He would laugh and say, " Back down and do it again, one of these days you'll thank me for this!"  And yes, I have to thank him for teaching me that. 
He also taught us respect for ourselves and others, and was always helping anyone who ever needed help.   I will miss your smiles, words of wisdom and your capacity to love so many people.  I love you daddy!!  Pam

What a great gift he left us, what a giving mind

I treasure each chuckle, each well placed joke
And even the ribs he'd eventually poke

Though your smile is gone forever, and your hand I cannot touch, I still have many memories of the one I loved so much. Your memory is my keepsake, with which I'll never part. God has you in His keeping, I have you in my heart.   Sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Grandpa gene,
You were such an amazing man and I will miss you so much! You always used to joke with me that when you lift your arm to your mouth to eat, your mouth automatically opens wether you have food in your hand or not your mouth is always hungry :) I will miss your amazing chuckle and your gently smile and the way you would say I love you to Hun after a nice warm firm hug.. You never missed a major life event of mine and I will be forever gratefull for that, you even came to grandparents day at my school even though you lived so far away, you were always there when we needed you! I will miss you so much but I know you are with grandma now up in heaven, I hope you two are tearin up that square dancin dance floor! I love you so much grandpa and will miss you terribly, give grandma and Uncle Ron a kiss for me!
