When I was a new tennis player,  Ron was nice enough to invite me to play with him at Springfield.  He also set up tennis for me to play with him and his friends at his courts in Awatukee.    Experienced players usually do not want to play with new players, but this was the type of person Ron was.   He always encouraged me to keep playing and improving my game.  I will always remember his kindness to me.
And, of course, on the courts he always had a funny story or joke to tell me and the others during the change overs!  
I know he is with the Lord Jesus right now and we will see him again someday.   And I am hoping to play tennis with him there.

I will always cherish our youth on E. 8th Street. Walking to school and back home talking of what happen that day. Summers well spent playing ball, swimming, craw-dad fishing,  and eating lots of candy at Mrs. O'Neill's corner grocery store. Boy, that was fun.
 Ron's  will was powerful. His devotion to God, family, and friends where all shaped  by his time on E. 8th street. I know in my heart  that he is in heaven.
 I truly miss my little big brother.

Thought that you might get a kick out of this, even though they misspelled Ron's last name. My brother Orlan had in Florida.

Remembering Ron

As a child visiting  our grandparents, I remember Ron having  a smile and a positive disposition. As an adult I will always appreciate Ron and Joyce attending my mother’s 90th birthday celebration. He and Joyce graciously hosted a delightful evening for his dad’s 90th. It was one of the few get-togethers the Haggar family had.  What a nice human being.

My deepest condolences to the Haggar family for the loss of Ron.  I remember him in my teenage years when visiting South Dakota and have very fond memories of him and being proud of being his cousin.  He always made me laugh and always had a smile on his face.

We are so sorry Joyce and the boys. One of my memories of Ron was at grandmas for Christmas and he always had card tricks to show the young kids to keep them entertained.
