Robert "Bob" Wall, Sr., 87, of Mesa, AZ, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2014. He was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, on Sept. 25, 1926, to Carl and Edythe Wall. He grew up on the family farm in Mellette, SD, was in the Army Air Corps and while attending the Chicago (Illinois) Tech College, he met his wife of 67 years, the former Corrine Ott. After they married, he and Corrine moved to the Wall family farm in SD, and then relocated to Ipswich, SD, where he owned a franchise of John Deere Implement Co. In 1953 with their three children, they moved to Corrine's hometown of Lemont, IL where they lived until 1964 moving to Chandler, AZ. In 1968 he established a hearing aid business in Mesa, AZ, was President of the Arizona Hearing Aid Society, and retired in 1991. He was an active member of the Lutheran church and a life-time member of the Masonic order. Bob and Corrine loved to travel, visiting many foreign countries. They also enjoyed spending summers at their home in Pinetop, AZ. Bob is survived by son, Robert Jr. (Joyce) of Chandler, AZ; daughters, Cheryl (Jimmy) Lewallen of Scottsdale, AZ, and Connie (Gene) Erickson of Mesa, AZ; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and his sister, LaVerne Dickey, of Aberdeen, SD. Funeral services will be held August 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Victory Lutheran Church, 5946 E University Dr., Mesa, AZ; reception will follow at the church. Interment will be held at Valley of the Sun Memorial Park in Chandler, AZ. Donations may be made in his name to Victory Lutheran Foundation in care of the church.
