I had the honor of meeting Bob in May 2016, he was my Wife Larissa‘s Uncle.
Bob and I immediately bonded.
We had so much fun together and laughed a lot.
Bob called me M.
We kept making jokes about Mercedes and Audi.
I told him Mercedes Benz best or nothing and he always replied get rid of your Mercedes, AUDIIIIII A8!!!
The taunts between us didn’t stop in Germany either😂
But we also had deep conversations.
Bob was a very wise man and he taught me a lot.
He was a loving, funny and incredibly generous person!
I will never forget him and will always carry him in my Heart!!!!
One day we will see each other…..❤️


Unfortunately my brother in law Bob and I have not seen each other for many years but he was and still is one of the most important people in my life. He brought laughter to our house with his warm and uncomplicated manner. Without big words was always at the right place at the right time.
An example was my 13 birthday on which I was allowed to invite for the first time a few schoolmates. As my father came tired from work, he wanted us to behave quietly that of course slowed down the fun considerably. When Bob and Tina came to congratulate me on my birthday, Bob discussed briefly with Tina, then came into the room and sad: ‘come on let's go’. He spontaneously put us all in his car (we were certainly eight or nine girls - what a joy!) and took us to the american cinema where the Disney movie ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ was running. He bought us all popcorn and coke and gave me the best birthday of my life. Even after so many years my school friends still remember this birthday at class reunions.
No matter how much sorrow and suffering Bob had to experience in his life he was always open to let joy and love into his life again and to pass this love on to his fellow men. He will be forever in my heart until we meet again one day. Until then one million ‘Bambergs’. 

I truly don't know how to begin. There is so much I would like to say about my Uncle Bob and nothing seems to be sufficient to descripe him or how deep my feelings are.
Most important of all is, for me he was never only my Uncle. 
He was my Father, in heart! ❤️
He was nearer to me than my biological one and I always wished that it would have been real, that he is the real deal.
Uncle Bob was a big boulder in my life. I could always turn to him in my deepest and darkest moments. 
His understandings of life and what I was dealing with was precious to me. He understood, even though I did not say too much. He helped me a lot with our extended talks either by phone or when I visited together with my husband Martin and our son Louis, his Jedi-Master.
We have had also very funny and hilarious talks and times together.
Evey moment with him was precious, to all of us! ❤️
Uncle Bob embraced life! He loved my Aunt Tina so very deeply, that he fought for years against all odds, because he wanted to live, with her... for her!
He has gone way too early and we all will miss him dearly.
I will miss him!
Uncle Bob, you have my love until eternity. Always in my heart, never forgotten! ❤️

I cant find the right words for his passing so the best thing  is to keep it short. I only had one chance to see him because we live in Germany. Im so sad about that and I wish I could have seen him more often.
I hope we‘ll meet us again.

As a child, I always had a great deal of respect for my Uncle Bob - which didn't change until the end.  He was to me a man of respect, of integrity, who knew how to get back up no matter how hard life hits, and who had a big heart for his family.  Unfortunately we didn't have enough time with him, which makes me all the more grateful for the last few years.

 He taught me a lot and I will have his wisdom and advice by my side my whole life and will never forget him.  We talked so much nonsense together that we sometimes cried.  We enjoyed talking about our "most majestic cars“ and could talk on the phone for hours.  I will really miss those conversations and the time with him.

 I wish I had one more trip with him to In-N-Out Burger, to order us way too many cheeseburgers, make the people at the counter laugh, and then secretly drink our milkshake on the way home before the question  was waiting for us at home.  Of course we didn't have a milkshake on the way home!  🍔🥤😂

 I already miss him so much... But I know that he takes care of us and that he will live on in us!  I love you very much Uncle Bob ♥️

Bob, who always called my Sister Tina Chris, was my favorite Brother-in-law.
Ever since the two met, he was always there for me. Above all, in my darkest hours, he helped me with words and deeds and made sure that I feel better.
He was a loving, caring, helpful and very generous person.
I miss him so much!
I was very fortunate to spend many beautiful days, even months at the end, with Bob and Tina and we had a lot of fun, when he said, Iris it’s Pj-time and then we played cards.

My Uncle Bob was an incredibly great Person. For as long I can remember I‘ve always looked up to Uncle Bob and Aunt Tina.As a Couple, as parents and as family!
I have so wonderful memories of him and I am so greatful for that!He always made  me laugh. But also to cry. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was 4 years old and we were visiting Bob and Tina. He thought it was really funny to pour a packet flour over my head.He had a great time. I was so angry and cry bitterly. We kept reminding ourselves and laughing about it
In 2016 I visited them with my Husband Lars. It was wonderful.Uncle Bob immediately took a liking to Lars. He always called him M because he works for Mercedes Benz. Every time they spoke to each other they joked about Mercedes and Audi. Bob even taped it to door frame in the room we stayed 4 M‘s
He showed us so much, made everything possible and always made sure that we lacked nothing!The only thing that Bob hated was our Shopping Trips.He kept yelling:“ oh no“!
Ist has to be said that Lars always took longer than me. He than called him Sissi Lala!I never forget our Card Nights either. They were just really legendary.
WE MISS HIM SO MUCH!
His jokes, the profound conversaitons, his advice and his warm personality, everything!
My daughter Lara loved him so much❤️
Every time they saw each other, they imitated Monsters and laughed their heads off. I hear Queen I never bite the dust, I think of  Bob.He always sang it to Lara and beat the beat.Lara partied like that.The two were just so cute 🥰 
Unfortunately Uncle Bob never got to meet my son Levin who was born in May 2020.
It breaks my heart to know how much he wanted to meet the little one and i couldn’t make it possible because of Corona.
I know how much he wanted to be able to hold the children in his arms.
That really hearts!
We only have beautiful and good memories of Bob, that no one can take from us and that’s how we remembered!

Every sunset is as beautiful as you see it, every moment as you experience it and every person is as important as you hold them in your heart.
Uncle Bob and I never met in person. But I got to know him as a loving, caring person, with a great sense of humor! I will so miss his hearty, infectious laugh, as well as his in-between chatter, on every phone call with Aunt Tina. You were a great couple and a role model for me. Dear Uncle Bob, I miss you so much. And now for the last time: Bamberg! Hochzeitsnudeln! Gulasch! I am sure we will meet again!

Onkel Bob und ich haben uns nie persönlich getroffen. Aber ich habe ihn als einen liebevollen, fürsorglichen Menschen kennengelernt, mit einem großartigen Sinn für Humor! Ich werde sein herzliches, ansteckendes Lachen und sein Geplapper zwischendurch bei jedem Telefonat mit Tante Tina sehr vermissen. Ihr wart ein großartiges Paar und ein Vorbild für mich. Lieber Onkel Bob, ich vermisse dich so sehr. Und nun zum letzten Mal: Bamberg! Hochzeitsnudeln! Gulasch! Ich bin mir sicher, wir werden uns wieder treffen! 

Bob always called out and said Hi to me as I walked by his house. He was always so friendly and it was a shock for me to learn he is no longer with us. I will miss seeing him in his front yard. I will miss his hello's and friendly conversations. So sorry for your loss.

I have the fond memory and distinct pleasure of working alongside Bob in a professional capacity. As a consummate professional, Bob became a trusted friend.
His insight, infectious personality and laugh commanded presence and respect when he entered a room. A man of integrity , a man of few words to some and a wealth of knowledge to those who listened closely to a man who lived a blessed life, knowing that he served his country, family and community.
I will miss Bob as he was integral to decisions in my life.
I am grateful and blessed to have had him in my life.

Bob, you were such an amazing man. knowing you almost 10 years I felt so blessed to have you in my life. We had gotten a lot closer over these last few years. No matter what, you would have me laughing every single time I saw you.  You actual taught me so much, and I appreciated all your words of wisdom. You were such a generous, helpful, kind soul. 
You’ve done so much to help me and went out of your way to make my life easier or better many times. I looked at you like a grandfather. I always tell everyone you and Chris are my Arizona Grandparents . I will miss our “serious talks” “talking crap” and teasing each other banter.  Rest in Peace Bob you will be missed very much by many.

I have so many fond memories of Robert. However, the one that stands out the most was his genuine concerns for you and your well being. All, while fighting his own battle against the evilness of cancer. Robert would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. This speaks volumes for the kind of man he was, unselfish to the core.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Bob. I was one of Bob‘s sergeants at the Orange County sheriffs department from approximately 2003 until 2007. I had the greatest respect and fondness for Bob who I placed in charge of our property/evidence warehouse. He took that responsibility seriously and became a father and mentor to the cadets that we assigned to the warehouse for the first time in the departments history. One cadet successfully went on to become a deputy sheriff and yet another one became a success in the Sheriffs systems division as a manager.  As an armed sheriffs special officer Bob also assisted in the inventory, transportation, and the destruction of thousands of illegal firearms and millions of dollars in seas narcotics and property over the years without a single incident. I considered Bob to be invaluable to the day-to-day operation of the property/evidence detail, a leader, a friend, and an asset to the Orange County sheriffs department. He will be sorely missed.  God bless and we extend our deepest sympathy to the family. 

Bob and I had a relationship that was extremely special to me. I enjoyed him at depths that were very nurturing to my upbringing and lifting of my heart. I could call him at literally any hour of the day and tell him everything and anything. He never judged me and always counseled me in directions that promoted my security, positivity and success. I could also share victories with him, and he would continue to remain in my corner and cheer me on with unfailing love, positivity, and faith. 
Bob, your departure has absolutely left a void in my life, but I know you are still with us.  
While my family was sick this last Christmas, Bob called us everyday and delivered food and toys. This was just one example of his massive heart. I believe that the many conquered obstacles that I have faced in life, and ultimate successes always included him, and I promise that I will continue to reflect the best parts of Bob that he imparted on to me over the years. 
Bob, I love you with all my heart and I know you are now with Ruby.

My Uncle Robert was pretty dang special.  My early memories of him include his visits from Germany.  I think I remember these visits because he always brought us gifts. Lol  He was always such a jokester, as far back as I can remember.  Always making me laugh. His most recent joke he was messing around with my husband.  He told him he just wanted to see how his favorite nurse practitioner was doing.  He casually kept talking until he realized that Jay wasn’t going to correct him, then he just started cracking up and we all started laughing 😂 
Dang. Selfishly, I am going to miss him so much! Especially on our Birthday.  Every year on our Birthday he would call me and wish me a Happy Birthday. Even If I hadn’t  talked to him all year long, I always knew I would hear from him on our Birthday. ♥️ Heaven definitely scored big time bringing him home. I can’t wait to see him again and give him a great big hug! We love you Uncle Robert. Xxoo

Brother, there are a whole lot of memories of you, I will share two that almost nobody but you and I knew about:  #1, The first rifle I shot was off of your shoulder when we were in Kansas at the Kolbaba farm, (you were told to make sure I didn't get near it). 
Then there was the time when I was 18, you were back visiting the States and asked if I was just going to work in a dead end job all my life, or did I really want to make a difference? That was just before Christmas in 1982, days later, you went to MEPS in Los Angeles with me. You waited around for over 6 hours while they poked, prodded, cajoled and lied to me about the U.S. Army. After that long day, I was picking my M.O.S. and they did not want to give me what I was wanting. The recruiter left the room, I stepped outside the door and you were there with that larger than life smile on your face. I told you that they did not want to give me the assignment I wanted and was more than qualified for and I was just going to leave,  Your quote was "well, we'll just see about that!" The recruiter came back and you introduced yourself just like this "Hello Staff Sergeant, I am First Sergeant Wagner, this is my little brother, we need to talk!" You had me wait outside for about two minutes, then called me in the room,  The recruiter said "Congratulations! you got just what you were asking for! Now sign here!  After I signed, you said "ok private scumbag.... you are all mine now!" then I got a hug I will never forget! After basic training and A.I.T. I called to tell you about the choice assignment I had "somehow" received and you said "Well duh, like I didn't know where you were going? I called in some favors, you owe me!" I could never repay you for all you did for me!  So, I will just say "Stand At Ease First Sergeant, Rest! you deserve it!

Memories of my brother Robert…… My earliest memories of when I was just so so young you were the constant influence in my life. It does seem like you were always there when a family member needed help and even if they didn’t do you were there to make sure things were taken care of. I remember when I had fallen onto a knife is a very small child and you were the one that picked me up and help me in your arms while we went to the emergency room. I remember you fiercely and consistently standing up for this family if someone even dare try to do is wrong. I remember when you would come back and pick me up and take me to stay with you guys  in Fort Ord Fort Lewis and finally in Fort sill Oklahoma. I remember watching all the soldiers snap to when they saw your car coming and they knew that first Sergeant Wagner was on scene. God I was so proud. And then as if you haven’t paid enough to this country after three tours in Nam Dinh went on to the Orange County sheriffs department and did another tour and spent another 15 years dedicated to the community. Boil boy did you do this family proud.…… After retirement and you sit out and spend some time with all of your family all over the US. Finally settling in Arizona I was so glad that you were close enough for me to visit. I will always remember and always cherish our daily conversations which were mandated to be a minimum of one hour in length… Lol the trips I made to your house and you two hours were always very memorable your first loyalty to your family was evident in the daily task that you did you serve that Wagner name with pride honor and dignity. Rest assured brother we have it from here. As you’re looking down and watching over us all, I know that your heart swells with pride seeing how this family comes together and remembers you and Warren‘s with you although I know you wouldn’t want that. You were an absolute wonderful human being and fears protector God has a great man… Love you brother

I am so happy my dad found this picture of me with Uncle Robert. Even though technically my cousin, he has always been Uncle Robert since I was a little girl. He could make anybody laugh. This picture was the same day he chased my high school boyfriend right out of the house and down the street, saying, "I just want to give you a hug!!!" So many wonderful memories growing up. I am so happy that we spent time together in Arizona a couple of years ago. You will be missed!

Since it's been referenced twice already I wanted to share how  "the REAL Uncle Robert" moniker got its start. He called our house one day when Ashleigh was very young and  said "hello, this is Uncle Robert".  Well, I also have a brother named Robert  and Ashleigh asked him "which Uncle Robert is this?".  His answer, of course was "this is the REAL Uncle Robert.  And that was how he identified himself every time he called after that. It always gave us a giggle. 

Around the time mom was close to going home to be with Jesus. You and family came to visit. I was our front and these two, what I remember, thuggish individuals walked by, and something was said. Next thing I know here you come through the front door and in a very, shall we say intimidating voice, you looked at them and said, "Is there a problem?" needless to say, they kept walking. Why do I share that memory? Because, you were about family, you had their back no matter what. So many memories rush back so many to tell. I think brother my biggest regret is not talking with you more. I wish I could now. Amber and I love you and we will see you again one day.

My favorite memory of Robert was from when we were kids.It was Christmas time and they had came to our house and he seen my Flying tiger airplane afterwards we went to their house,after opening the presents Robert was sad he hadn`t got a plane.Then Uncle Everett had him look behind theTV where Uncle Everett had hid the plane earlier.The smile on Roberts face was ear to ear like he smiled

Christina, Doug and I sure enjoyed visiting with you and Robert  on our more recent winter trips down south. We loved hearing how your love story began all those years ago. Aren’t you glad you finally allowed him to buy you that Fanta?  I always admired the respect you two showed each other, even when you didn’t agree. 
I am sure going to miss his BIG personality and his even BIGGER heart.

Our hearts are truly broken. It doesn’t seem real. You are one of the most caring people that we know. You put family first and made everyone of us feel loved. You had all of us in a special place in ur heart. You were always there to listen to our problems without any judgement. I always looked up to you like a father figure and always loved when we would talk on the phone. I’m going to greatly miss those conversations and bear hugs that you would give us. I know ur up there celebrating with our Lord and Ruby and Grandma and Grandpa.  We can’t wait to see u again! We love u with every inch of our heart. 

My tribute to a gentle giant.  Robert was not only my cousin, but he was also my brother, brother in arms and friend. I love him dearly as does my family. He greeted and said goodby to everyone with a hug. We spoke often, answering the phone I was greeted with this is the real Robert Wagner speaking.  I would respond how do you figure, Robert said, I am older, wiser, and more handsome. Well! I have two more letters in my name, Robert Gene versus Robert Eugene. They called me Robert and called you Bobby. I gave up! Robert played a huge part in my life as we shared many similarities. My most heartfelt story about Robert is the story about when my dad (Uncle Raymond) visited him when they were both in Viet-Nam. A marine and a soldier, uncle and nephew. We would laugh so hard that we cried. Chris thought we were losing our marbles. Robert always said his greatest joy in life was Christina and we were blessed with our choices. I told Robert this many times, I love you brother, salute you, and thanks for being a part of my life. Goodbye to the Real Uncle Robert, until we meet again.

My brother. I Love You so very much. You, to me, we’re a pillar of strength, a boldness unspeakable. . You made me feel so safe and protected when I was with you and you always made me feel so very loved. Someone to whom I always looked up to and respected. The Real Uncle Robert as he liked to be called. He would correct you if need be. Every time I see him, in this order:hug him, hug aunt Chris, then ask how the kids and wife are. Then ask if drove that pos ford here or did it get towed? The banter never stopped. As we say our good byes, hugs, take care of my niece and nephews.call me when It breaks down, I’ll come get you for a small fee. Always first to offer help. Always thinking of others. Always wanted to know what you were up to. Never talking about himself. Talk about the kids and grandkids and things they’ve achieved. Overall lovable guy with no cap for generosity. May you rest in piece and enjoy the company of grandma and ruby. Love you uncle Real Uncle Robert. 

I love this pic it really is amazing to see at the time of this photo they had been married for 49 years 9 months. However a couple months ago Mom & Dad celebrated their 51st Wedding Anniversary 12/26/2021

You are Everything to Dad,  Mom. Just as he is your Everything. He will always be with you, he loves you more than all the life in the universe.

The last time I saw Uncle Robert was 12 years ago. We didn’t get to see each other enough due to us being in Texas but when we saw each other it’s like we never missed a beat. Same Uncle Robert I have always known. A big heart and funny as could be. I am so glad my kids got to meet him and see just how incredible the Wagner family is. My love and prayers to everyone! 

Uncle Robert gave me my “Maggie girl” (as he called her) way back in 2014 when he knew I fell in love with her! Every time he came to visit he’d tried to bargain to get her back but we both knew it was game between us. I’ll miss you more than you know, sending so much love to aunt chris<3

I wanted to take my Mom and Dad on a road trip and do something exciting, so we booked a weekend in Zion National Park. Friday September 18th - Monday September 21st, 2020. We hiked the Narrows (Wow! They were both Troopers) visited Bryce Canyon as well as the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. This was one of the most special moments for me to be able to share with Mom and Dad together doing something for the first time really in 6 months after the pandemic started. We had to break them out of the house! & Dad loved every minute of it. Minus my above average scores with the speed limit.  =)

You were the staple that held this family together my brother. You were an example for others to follow. You set this world on fire man! I love you to the moon and back my brother
