Bob and I met in 1979 at Williams Air Force Base.  He was the First Sergeant for our unit.  I quickly developed a great admiration for the way he handled himself and the many issues that can drive a First Sergeant crazy.  But as committed as Bob was to the Air Force, he just as committed to his family.  This was a good man.  His loss is significant in many respects.  To Mary and family, I extend my condolences.

  I was also a '59 grad.but not a good friend of Robert. It hurts me to loose anyone from'59 but i'm very happy for his and your hard work,service for our country. Go with God,things will improve in time.   Jolly Ballard

To the Turner Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Mary Lee,
I am so sorry to hear of Robert's passing. I know you are completely lost because I don't remember you or he being with anyone else. I would love to be able to give you a hug although I know it would be of little consequence. I'm sure Nancy would also like to express her sorrow if she were only here to do so. May the Lord hold you in the palm of his hand while you are dealing with your loss.

No words can express the sadness in my heart. Robert has been like a big brother to me since 1st grade, all the way through 12th grade and until now. I remember when he broke up with Mary Lee for about a day, maybe two!. He and I sat on the stools at the Speedway Drug Store at the corner of  Chelsea and Thomas, and he was almost in tears. He told me he thought he wanted to date other girls, but he loved Mary Lee so much he realized he couldn't. I told him to quit being so stupid and go tell her that and propose to her. That's exactly what he did. I was in their wedding 57 years ago. Such love they had for each other. Robert, big brother,you will be sorely missed by me. You will be greatly missed by your family and friends. Rest in peace now.  Pat Holmes

My memories of Robert,  he would always get his homemade Sundaes in his special Sundae Dish and laugh at me cause Big Mama had only one and it was Robert's and I had to have mine in a bowl....  I was finally able to give him his dish one year when he came to my home... How he would come here and we always get together with Mary Lee and then over at Shirley's and the last visit they made here and the last time I saw them both, we met at Cracker Barrel for our goodbyes...  He was so sweet and kind to me always and they both always showed so much love for me...  I could go on and on but everyone that knew Robert loved him, especially  all of his Family.. I love you Robert and I will miss you terribly.....  I ask God to be his family always .....

My love for my uncle Robert goes so far back, we grow-up together like brother and sister. I could get so mad at him at times but that didn't last long. I love you Robert and will miss you always. I still can here your soft voice yet so very strong.Rest in peace, God Bless

 No words can express the sadness I feel on the loss of my Uncle Robert.  He was a very kind, loving, fun uncle. I will cherish the memories of times we spent together . ❤

Robert will be missed by so many people, he was a husband, a dad, an uncle and a friend to so many.  He was my uncle, but more than that, he was a brother I never had.  My heart is sad by his passing, but he will forever be in my thoughts and in my heart.
