Robert Erwin Park-Fuller was born Robert Fuller in Kirwin, Kansas, on December 28, 1926 to Jay Otis Fuller and Pearl Sarchett Fuller. He was raised in Canyon County, Idaho, and attended Wilder High School. After serving in the Navy during World War II on the U.S.S. LST 859, he worked in Boise and Caldwell, Idaho, for Mountain Bell Telephone. In 1952, by then married, he moved to Minot, North Dakota, and worked for the telephone company, Northern States Power—now Xcel Energy. Settled in Minot, and while raising two children, Bob was active in the American Legion, the BPOE, and the Local Union 949 of the IBEW. In 1975, after divorce, Robert remarried. He and his wife took each other’s names. They traveled. Bob used his entrepreneurial skills and talents to turn his interests into profitable ventures, and over the years, the Park-Fullers lived and worked in St. Cloud, MN, Austin, TX, Springfield, MO, and Tempe, AZ. Bob loved life and had a wonderful sense of humor. People were drawn to him for his outgoing personality, his easy conversational style and genuine charm. He enjoyed working with autos, had a great laugh, loved to dance and appreciated a well-turned phrase. He was a natural storyteller enjoyed by all. He will be sorely missed. Bob is survived by his wife, Linda; sister, Marjorie LaRussa, Boise, ID; son, Douglas, Watertown, SD; daughter, Kim Hill, Tulsa, OK; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s’ Association.
