Robert F. Oesterreich of Chandler passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday May 3, 2013 with his loving wife Marilynn by his side. After several years of battling medical problems and fighting to the bitter end, it was time for god to call him home. Robert was born in Evanston, Illinois on May 13, 1931. He was a super athlete and a graduate of Northwestern University. Bob retired from AT&T in Chicago in 1984, and moved to Arizona to enjoy retirement while remaining loyal to his “Chicago Cubbies”. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilynn, his sons Robert and Tim, daughter Missy, and grandchildren Carter, Carrissa, Chloe, Nick, and Preston as well as many dear relatives and friends. As a loving caring husband, Bob will be remembered most for his kind heart, wonderful sense of humor, and living every day to the fullest. Although he has left us, he shall remain in our hearts forever. A celebration of life for Robert will be held on Sunday June 23rd.
