Rita Monarrez passed away on April 9, 2011, in Mesa, Arizona. Born in Chiuahuah, Mexico, to Dominga Monarrez, Rita arrived on April 13, 1928. Rita was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son, Al Godinez; grandsons, Marc (Betty) Godinez, and Jason Godinez. Rita is preceded in death by her two sons. A memorial mass honoring Rita will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church on April 18, 2011 at 10:00 am.
